About this course
This award is suitable for all staff who are currently involved in the healthcare industry or individuals intending to pursue a career in the same industry. This module aims to introduce the nutritional requirements of older citizens and the maintenance of their health and wellness.
This course seeks to highlight the importance of diagnosing Malnutrition and ways to resolve it.

Learning Outcomes for Knowledge obtained at the end of the programme:
The learner will be able to:
- Ensure that aging patients under their care are exposed to a healthy balanced diet suitable for their own personal needs.
- Supervise and monitor the person in care closely to be able to pinpoint any signs or symptoms of malnutrition.
- Perform nutritional screening and record the nutritional status of the patient in care.
- Advise the patient for a more detail nutritional assessment.
There is only one module in this course which will highlight the importance of food safety and the adoption of best working practices for the prevention of food poisoning and other food related illnesses.

Full Time (Duration 9 Months) –
10th January 2022 until 12th September 2022
24th of January 2022 until 26th September 2022
Held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Time: 9am – 2pm
Duration: 6 months
Study days for Full Time – 3 times per week from 9am till 2pm (the detailed schedule will be provided for the students)
Part Time (Duration 1 Year and 6 months) –
10th January 2022 until 27th June 2023
Held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
Time: 5pm – 8pm
Duration: 6 months
Study days for Part Time – every Monday from 4pm till 8pm
