Learning Outcomes for Knowledge obtained at the end of the programme:

The learner will be able to:

  1. Support and assist clients with social and physical activities in safe, competent, and organised manner.
  2. Promote and maintain the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social wellbeing of clients.
  3. Avoid and respond to medical emergencies.
  4. Perform and demonstrate the care provider role in a reflective, responsible, accountable, and professional/ethical manner.
  5. To work effectively and efficiently in a team.

There is only one module in this course which will provide learners with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to function effectively as health and social carers and respected members of the healthcare system.
